We have decided not to transfer hospitals for now. Everything has been very demanding of all of our time and energy and what we really need is rest so that we don't all get sick. Even though a transfer may potentially be better for Daniel, we felt that it would add more stress than we can handle for now.
Around 10pm last night, Daniel's doctor came by with the ultrasound result. It appears that his right kidney is slightly enlarged/inflamed. We're not sure if that is causing his right leg to be extra swollen. His right leg is so swollen and painful that he has not moved it much the last few days. They took a urine sample this morning and we should find out more by Saturday.
Daniel is now eating and drinking more normally except when he is not feeling well or when he has a fever. He also started moving the left side of his body a lot more today. When he's upset, he would kick his left foot high in the air (perhaps to compensate for his inability to move his right leg). Even though we know he is upset, it makes us very happy to see him regain some mobility.
Late this evening he also started using his right hand after Sam gave him two toy cars to play with. Even though most of today he cried often because he could not sleep well last night, watching him being able to play with toys again completely re-energized us with joy as we witness the power of prayer.
ps. he also smiled a few more times tonight!
